Decorating

We are almost all the way unpacked. Now I have to start thinking about decorating. Well, actually, I've been thinking about it a lot already, but it's going to be a process. I keep looking at all my favorite blogs where I am getting tons of ideas. One of the problems is that my styles have changed since I got some of my furniture about 5 or 6 years ago, but I can't really afford to buy new couches, plus, even if I could, ours are still in perfectly good shape. Nor is that really high up on the list of things we need to get. Oh well. I can work with it.

I used to really like county type things and some shabby chic, but now I like much cleaner lines. I wouldn't necessarily say that I have a modern style, but I think it borders on that. None of my current furniture, pictures, decorations could really fall under that category, so it's a bit of an eye sore for me when I look at my stuff.

My cousins wife decorated their home all by herslf and I think it looks amazing. The parts that I especially like are the color of the walls, I love that blue, the couch, my couches are so over sized, and just the over all look and feel of the room. All the lines are so clean and there isn't any clutter. The blue gives the room a cool feeling, but the dark floors also keep it feeling warm
