I try and work out as much as I can. Sometimes, scratch that, usually, it doesn't happen. The problem is that Jeff usually doesn't get home until later at night, like 8 or 9pm. So, by that time, I've usually parked myself in front of the tv, with the laptop on my lap, and I am NOT in the mood to go to the gym. What's that you say? Get up early and go before my kids wake up? PASS. I've been thinking about it for awhile now, and this week I finally went and did it. I signed my kids up for the Kids Club at the gym.
They have only gone twice, but it worked out great! They can go for two hours a day, which is more than enough time. I even took stuff with me to shower and get dressed afterward. That was especially nice because my kids do not excel in the let mom get showered and dressed in peace area. The first day they were a little nervous about going, but the second day, Jane was struggling to get out of my arms while I was trying to sign them in. I put her down and one of the workers opened the door for her and she just walked right in.
It felt so good to have worked out, showered, and gotten dressed all before lunch. PLUS, on top of that, have a little along time. Selfish? Maybe, but not in a bad way. Maybe I'll even lose the rest of this baby weight. Especially since my "baby" is almost 1 1/2.

Bravo!! I love sending my kids to the child care while I go exercise. As my friend says, it's cheaper than therapy. :)
Lucky! I wish I had a gym membership. It seems like I am never apart from my kids, I so want to work out and get back in shape, but it is nowhere on the horizon. At least not yet.
Inspiring...as I eat a bowl or cereal reading your blog and skipping my work out...
Way to go! You need to take care of yourself too!
I think that is just awesome. Good for you!!!
I am a huge advocate for KIDS CLUB!! You deserve some time for yourself. A happy mom equals happy family :)
