Sophia will be starting Insulin pump therapy in the next few weeks. I'm thinking that it will be good because we won't really have to give her shots anymore. Sometimes, but it will be the exception and not the rule. Instead she will wear a pump that has a tube under her skin and it will deliver the insulin to her body when she needs it. We still have to push buttons on it and tell it how much to give her, but I don't have to give her 10 shots a day. I've heard that it has a learning curve that tends to remind people of when they or there child was initially diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, but that once you get past that, it's a huge improvement over the shots. It's should help her be healthier too because it is able to give much smaller doses or insulin than we are able to give with needles. Right now, she has to have had at least 10 grams of carbs before we can give her any insulin. But if she eats say, 5 her blood sugar will still rise to high levels etc, lots of other way too long explanations of why it will be better with a pump. Anyway, a pump will be good to have once we get the hang of it.

I ordered the pink one, pricey little son a gun, but it's worth it.

Just so there is no confusion, we are only getting one pump. The picture is a little misleading.

I am so glad about the house. . . where in Boise is it? I hope the learning curve is manageable, you guys are awesome at handling tough situations, I know you can do it! Thanks for all the pictures etc so we feel connected to you still.

The house is in Meridian, but right n the border. For those of you who are familiar with Boise, it is right off of Eagle road, on the south side of the freeway. That is the side opposite of the mountains. It's only around a mile or so away from the freeway which is nice for Jeff.
