MEN, ALERT! If you don't like to hear about "womanly things" then don't read. You have been warned.

This week I'm having my period. Totally a bummer because it's moving/packing week and when I'm on my period I'm a horrible everything. Sophia is now at the age where she is noticing when I'm on my period. Lucky me, she always follows me into the bathroom everytime I have to go. I try and explain to her what is going on, but I keep it real simple, because it's not like she is really going to understand me if I start to talk about uterine lining and shedding.

Today when I was changing my tampon she was very kind and told me, "oh it's ok mommy, someday you will be a big girl like me and then you won't have to have your period anymore."

If only she knew.
