Nursery Pet Peeves

Jeff hometeaches one of the nursery leaders and when he went hometeaching tonight, the Sister said to him, "oh, by the way, Sophia might get sick this week because a couple of the kids had fevers and then a couple had green snot coming out of their noses." Excuse me? Are you kidding me? That is one of my pet peeves. If my kids are snotty, then I don't bring them to nursery because I don't want to get the other kids sick. Now whether I do that because of my natural high moral standards or because part of me is worried about social scrutiny is debatable, at least I'm honest about that. (I've been reading a book called Freakonomics that deals with this sort of thing.) Anyway, she is for sure going to get sick this week. Bummer. Then Jane will get sick. Double bummer.

Yes, nursery can be a petri dish sometimes. I think our family just comes from higher moral stock.

My favorite part about Freakanomics is how some form of 'Jasmine' is listed four different times in the top twenty blackest girls names list.

When the inevitable happens, I hope it isn't too bad.

AMEN....oh seriously don't even get me started on this subject!!! I hate to say that if gets even worse. Preschool brings on all sorts of new sicknesses. Ethan just came down with a snotty nose yesterday. I'm sure it was a result of our trip to McD's last week. It's my own fault. Sometimes I ask for it I guess.

Seriously! And, sometimes it seems like it's the same kids/family over and over who are sick and bringing sick kids places - or maybe it's just people we know? Anyway, totally hate that.

I totally agree! I think some people just don't have common sense when it comes to sick kids and church.
