Be Careful What You Say

Well, apparently I say, "oh my freakin gosh!" a lot. Who knew? Sophia, that's who. Today I heard her "talking" on the phone and she kept saying it over and over again. I guess that I need to be more careful about what I say when I'm frustrated. I heard her saying "shoot" a couple of times on different occasions and for some reason even that doesn't sound very good coming out of the mouth of a two year old. I probably need to start saying something really silly like "oops a daisy" or "my goodness!" Having a two year old is like having all of your little family discretions vulnerable and ready to be exposed anywhere at any time. I think it's because she doesn't know the difference between, "the privacy of our home" vs anywhere else. For example, today, Jeff and I were in a meeting with a Realtor and we had Sophia and Jane with us. Sophia was drinking some water when she suddenly, very loudly said, "we gonna drink our water then do really loud burps!" Luckily I have a really high threshold when it comes to feeling embarrassed about stuff like that, but I don't think that Jeff thought it was very funny.

Finally! I've been trying to teach her about the loud burps for months!

haha - we are in the same boat - Andre started saying 'dang it' whenever frustrated - we try to watch what we say, but it is quite difficult

yeah, David says something that at the moment slips my mind. I didn't think either of us said it, but Nathan affirmed that I say it a lot. Obviously I'm not aware since I can't even think what it is!

When you were talking about your lives being an open book, it reminded me of the story of you at Zions telling the guide all your family secrets.
