Today I'm 27. As one of my friends on Facebook said, "you are on the downhill slide to 30." Birthdays just aren't the same when you stay at home and hang out with a 2 year old and a baby. I told Sophia that it was my birthday today and she said, "no, it's my Birthday!" Then, a little bit later she said, "we can share it mommy." Then she followed it up with something about blowing out my candles for me. That's okay though, it actually made me smile when she asked if we could share it. I told her that that would be great.
Jeff brought home some takeout from PF Changs for dinner. I was really excited because I love that place. The MongolianBeef is my favorite. There is a Thai restaurant a few blocks away, but we haven't been there yet and I didn't want to blow my birthday dinner on somewhere that we were sure was really good. We'll try that later. We got an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. Sophia helped to put the candles in the cake. She put some of them upside down, but that's ok. It's the thought that counts. Then she started to take some of the candles out and lick them; then she put them back in. It was nice to have her to help with things.
Thanks to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday. It was great to hear from so many of you in so many different ways!
