Happy Birthday Sophia...back in June

We have lots of photos from over the last 3 months or so that we haven't done anything with because we've been pretty busy with Jeff starting his new job, moving states, and getting settled. I thought that I might go back and put up some pictures and get our lives caught up.

Sophia turned 2 years old on June 15, 2008. This was while we were still in Seattle so my parents, who only lived around an hour away came up along with my little sister who is 16 years old. Our apartment complex had a pool and it was a rare nice day some of us went swimming and afterwards we had some pizza and cake that my mom was nice enough to bake. Sophia loved it when we sang "Happy Birthday" to her. As the song was wrapping up, I suddenly realized that she had never blown out candles before. I had a small moment of panic because I thought that she wouldn't be able to do it and that would be the only thing we would remembered about her birthday. Many years from now we would still be telling stories about how she couldn't seem to get those candles out. But luckily when the song finished we said, "blow, blow", and out they went. We then had to do it 2 more times because she loved it so much.
