Last week I decided to have a Halloween cookie decorating party at my house today. I invited a handful of girls and their kids from my ward. Last night I spent all evening rolling out dough, putting it in the fridge, taking it back out and cutting it with the cutters, putting it back in the fridge, then finally baking it...then letting it cool...then finally trying not to eat, leaving none for the party. I was a little worried about the get together because our apartment is really really small, but it I think it went just fine. There were around 5 moms and 9 kids. Most of the kids were really little and not really able to decorate their own cookies, but there were some who could and for those kids who couldn't, well, I think that we moms more than made up the difference. Turns out I'm not as good at decorating the cookies as I am at eating them. Luckily that wasn't the case for everyone or I wouldn't have gotten any good pictures.
Sophia wasn't as in the cookie decorating, (which is a good thing, but it probably won't last), as she was into the swinging. She isn't bit enough to get on the swings herself if I'm not there to help here get up and push her, but she likes to swing on her stomach. She was really enjoying it today.

How fun! I really wish I was there to decorate too! I MISS you!
Sophia's laugh is infectious! Which cookie was yours?
Neither cookie was mine. I did decorate some, but it was a basic slather the frosting on and then eat it. Sophia was acting up a bit because there were lots of kids she didn't know playing with "her" toys, so that combined with hosting, I was on overload. But it was still fun.
She plays really well. It makes me smile to see all that energy.
