This is what we wish we doing more of around here. Man, why is she so tired, it's not like she does anything but live a life of leisure. Oh, life of leisure, I get it, that's why she is sleeping.
Also, she is dropping her nap, but it's a real gray area. If she has a nap, she can't seem to fall asleep until 9pm, (waaaay too late for her to be showing her face downstairs around me), or if she doesn't have one, then this seems to happen.
But, on the other hand, she is really cute. Especially when she puts on this little number. Seriously, so cute.
Sophia really loves going to Preschool, oh, sorry, if she heard me say that out loud, she would correct me. School. Just School. Not Preschool. I believe they were talking about the letter "A" here. Hence the ant antennas.
We call her "Rebekah Cheeks", or just "Cheeks" for short. Can you guess why?
A quite moment captured in her carseat...a rarity. I have kids that scream constantly when they are in their carseats. At least she will eventually fall asleep. Sophia never even did that. (Love you!)
Sophia likes to lie next to Rebekah on the floor. She also likes to give her a little too much love if you ask me. I've tried to narrow my "Hey, leave her alone!" and my "girls, you are too close/rough!" to when I can tell it's bothering Rebekah and not just me.
All in all adding the third hasn't been traumatic. traumaticl in that you think that you are going to die!!!!!! sort of way. The first 3 weeks or so were a bit sketchy as far as my mood and energy go, but I was also really really lucky to have help from family. I keep waiting for the shiz to hit the fan but so far so decent. For me just having A kid in general was a HUGE big shocker. That was such a big adjustment for me that adding anything after that hasn't been any more of a shocker than having the first one was. You know, how people say that having two was SOOO much harder than having one, etc etc.
After I got over the one, a second and third weren't too much. I still have to get up early, yuck. I still have to feed someone else, change someones diaper, listen to some whining, clean up someones toys, you get the picture. Plus, I think that Sophia has a "more challenging personality" than the other two, so that makes any addition seem a bit easier.
Of course, those would be all the negatives to having the third, of course there are positive moments, but that's never what people ask about. It's always, "oh, adding the third was the hardest ever!" Or, "how are you doing, are you surving?" Or, my favorite, "if you can do 3 then you might as well do 6 or 8." (no thank you, it's not like having 3 is easy breezy or anything.)
I think that it helps that the two older girls are good friends and generally play well together. I'm really lucky like that.
